Asansol Municipal Corporation: ecosystem value reduces by one-tenth

Asansol in West Bengal is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. But urbanisation and industrialisation are taking a toll on the ecosystem of the area. Researchers from six institutions collaborated to quantify this ecological loss in economic terms. Ishita Malakar reports their research.
